As you probably already saw yourself, a few glasses of beer can completely reverse the way you perceive music, or the music you do not like for some reason sounds great.
However, a recent study has proved to be true and vice versa - the kind of music can affect the taste of your few beers. The research was conducted by dr. Felipe Carvalho with Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) and discovered that listening to different types of music can affect your perception of taste and the strength of beer you drink!
The study was divided into three experiments in which the examinees were asked to taste and grade beer while being exposed to various "sound stimuli" or music. However, they were not told that they would actually drink the same beer in all three experiments! Interestingly, the type of music really influenced their taste - when playing music that resembles cartoons, the participants rated beer as "sweet" while the beer was "bitter" when music played with pronounced, deep bass. In the third experiment, respondents listened to music of their choice (the music they liked), and in this situation, drinking beer was rated as a very positive experience.
In any case, if your beer has a bit of bitter taste, listen to the few songs you like and beer should become much better taste!
