Ever since you started school, you probably had the belief that if you want to be healthy, you have to have breakfast every morning.
Even the marketing efforts of some cereal producers and other foods intended for breakfast have boosted this belief. But perhaps you will be surprised by the fact that breakfast is not really that important, and some theories say that they could even be healthier without it!

How did the myths about breakfast begin?

The rule of breakfast, as the king of all meals, was driven exclusively by propaganda for a long time, and helped by obvious common sense - to start the day of food is definitely a good idea. Breakfast should boost the work of your brain, start metabolism, and even help lose weight. In this context, breakfast sounds like a great idea, and this is indeed the case with some people. But in reality, what works for some people does not work with others.

For some people skipping breakfast might be the easiest and most effective tool for burning fat, controlling hunger and mental alertness. Morning post helps the body to conserve energy more efficiently. When you start the day without food, the body has to burn something, and most people actually have thousands of stored calories waiting to be consumed.
But the post is not useful solely because of the consumption of stored fat. Skipping a morning meal can lead to hormonal changes, especially those like insulins that regulate energy consumption. Increased insulin sensitivity is an important factor in maintaining healthy body weight and loss of unwanted kilograms. Therefore, if you have tried various other methods without too much success, skipping morning eggs might be your new strategy.

What about metabolism?

The main reason that we believe breakfast is so important is the belief that it triggers metabolism, which sounds like a great way to start the day. It is technically true, because the consumption of any food requires basal metabolism. But skipping breakfast will not stop the metabolism, and if you fast for a short period of time, the body will actually respond by increasing the rate of metabolism on vacation. These facts disprove the theory that morning meals are important if you want to lose weight.

Find a system that suits you

People have different schedules and ways of life, so what suits you may not be appropriate to someone else. If breakfast simply does not fit into your morning schedule, but you force it to eat, you just add unnecessary stress to your life. Whether you prefer coffee and water instead of breakfast, or eat the eggs every morning, find what is right for you and stick with it.
